A Great Day to be a Viking!
This Saturday is going to be a very busy one here at Union Catholic. It actually may be considered the most exciting day of the year. Registration for the Class of 2011 will take place Saturday morning. I can’t believe it is already here. I really am excited for registration, especially after the accepted students dance last weekend. There was definitely an excitement in the air, and I believe it will carry over into this weekend. Our next great class will walk in the door this weekend. Make sure you see me Saturday for your class t-shirt!
In the afternoon, our Boys Basketball team will play Rahway in the Bernoski Games. Our team is off to their best start in years, at 13-3, and have been ranked 8 in Union County for the last month. It should be an exciting game. Come cheer us on at 2 p.m. at Rahway High School.
Also on Saturday, our Forensics team will compete in a league meet at Ridge High School. The end of the year is nearing, so every meet is a big one. At this point we have eight students that are in contention for bids to the National Tournament in Houston, Texas. We will also compete at Harvard University in February. It’s going to be cold, but it is our students’ favorite trip. It’s also my favorite!
There is always something exciting going on in Viking Country. Check out my blog next week for results. See you on Saturday!
